Get registered

As this is a University of Salford award delivered by a partner college, it is important that you register at both the University of Salford and Salford City College to allow access to course materials and student finance payments. 

University of Salford

Keep an eye out for your invitation to register email and/or text. Get ahead by following the link in your email/text to access our online registration portal. Don't forget to follow the steps on-screen, ensuring your personal contact information is correct and your payment is in place.

University Centre at Salford City College

Registration at the University Centre at Salford City College will take place from Monday 5 September 2022, at the University Centre at Salford City College, Dakota Avenue, Salford M50 2PU. You will be sent a time slot for your programme of study. Any questions can be directed to enrol@salfordcc.ac.uk

Applied for funding?

Be sure to complete your online declaration form for Student Finance to make sure your funding is in place. You will need to be registered at the University of Salford and University Centre at Salford City College before your funding can be released.

Finding somewhere to live

If you’re moving away from home for the first time to start your studies, you might feel a bit worried about where you’re going to live. Don’t be. Having your own place can be part of the adventure – expect to make friends and learn about fridge politics. Head to our accommodation information for more details. 

If you’ve already booked your accommodation in Peel Park Quarter or Eddie Colman/John Lester Courts, you’ll be hearing from Campus Living Villages separately about moving in dates and anything else you need to know.

Welcome week

When you enrol you’ll be given more details on your induction and teaching timetable, which will be dependent on your course. The college will contact you separately about enrolling at University Centre, Future Skills, Dakota Avenue, Salford M50 2PU.

Developing your academic skills

Our Get Ready to Learn at the University of Salford resource will give you a great introduction to studying here. As well as giving you a jump start with your academic studies, you’ll find information about the University’s Clifford Whitworth Library and Blackboard, our Virtual Learning Environment, as well as how you can get Office 365 for free. Get a job

If you need to find a job, we can help with that. Our recruitment agency, Unitemps, can help you find part-time work that fits around your studies and we have a full careers service that can help build your skills and get you ready for the world of work after graduating.

Get active

Be part of something bigger at university. Whether you want to play competitively, have fun with your friends, or just want to stay fit and healthy, you can join Team Salford by signing up to the University of Salford’s Sports Centre, or joining a Students’ Union Sports Club and Activity Group. We have it all; from Give It A Go, our no commitment drop-in sessions, to campus sport where groups of friends, accommodations and course mates battle it out for campus pride. Finally, make sure you keep your eye out for our annual major Varsity competition against the University of Chester, either by playing yourself or by getting a Varsity t-shirt and coming along to support!
