School of Art Media & Creative Technology (SAMCT)

Harry Hosker (Employability Advisor) and Jade Harniess (Placements and Employability Assistant). Harry and Jade support students across SAMCT in work experience, placements and other employability activities. Salford Business School (SBS)

Our employability hub at SBS supports both undergraduate and postgraduate students across all business disciplines and law. Our drop-ins are in room 624, Maxwell Building. These take place from 14:00-16:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and from 10:00-12:00 on Wednesday and Friday. We host a range of events across the academic year. This includes our Employability Week which takes place in both trimester 1 and 2. Students can engage with industry partners through live presentations, speed networking, and interactive workshops. School of Health & Society

Corinne Curley (Employability Officer) and Hayley Colbourn (Employability Assistant) support all students across the School of Health and Society, with a particular focus on supporting undergraduate students across non-allied health programmes including:

School of Science, Engineering & Environment

As part of the employability offer, SEE offers a Year in Industry option within the majority of undergraduate programmes. Industry collaboration is continued with programmes such as the HackCamp focused on computing students together with industry speakers from a variety of sectors. In addition, The Maker Space offers students the chance to develop skills by utilising equipment such as 3D printers, laser-cutting machines and electronic circuit boards for academic or personal projects.

Placement drop-ins are currently scheduled weekly during term-time at the new SEE building between 13:00-15:30 on Wednesdays. Queries related to placements and employability can be sent to see-placements-industry@salford.ac.uk.
