Set up multi-factor authentication
When you sign in to your University account for the first time, you will be asked to register some additional information to ensure your account is kept safe. It is important to set up multi-factor authentication for your account at the earliest opportunity.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) requires a second form of authentication when logging in to Microsoft 365 and its tools, the Student Hub and the Student Portal. It is required when you're accessing your University account from a new device, a new web browser, a new location, or when you’ve not authenticated for 13 days.
- Forgot your password? Self-Service Password Reset allows you to reset your password at any time, once you have completed setting up MFA.

Key IT services
Many IT services can be accessed via links within the Student Hub.
Microsoft 365 - Your University Microsoft 365 account provides you with online apps such as OneDrive, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Sign in via microsoft365.com or via the Student Hub using your University email address and password.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) - You must set up your account with this second form of authentication to access Microsoft 365 and its tools, the Student Hub, the Student Portal and to be able to reset your password yourself.
