Steve Myers

Director of Society

Biography

I am a qualified Social Worker with experience working with criminal justice and children's services. I have published extensively about social work practice and undertaken research primarily about children and social exclusion. As Director of Society I lead a large team of staff in Social Sciences, Counselling and Social Work.

Teaching

I teach across a range of subject areas including social science, social work and counselling. My teaching interests are varied and include assessment, theory into practice, solution focused approaches, sex offenders and international comparative policy and practice. I teach at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

Research Interests

I have been involved with research projects that have looked at various topics including social exclusion, children, adoption services and service evaluation.
