Biography

I am a neurotherapist and paediatric occupational therapist based in Amman, Jordan. I hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy from the University of Jordan, an MSc in Intellectual Disability Studies from the University of Birmingham (UK), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Neuroscience from King’s College London.

Since 2006, I have specialised in early intervention and play‑based therapeutic approaches within paediatric occupational therapy. In 2021, I expanded my practice into the field of neurofeedback therapy. In 2022, I founded a neurotherapy and paediatric occupational therapy clinic in Amman- Jordan, where I currently practice as both manager and clinician.

I am presently engaged in research with the School of Health and Society (SHAS) at the University of Salford, examining encephalographic (brainwave) signatures associated with adverse food reactions.

Areas of Research

My research interests focus on the intersection of neuroscience, neurophysiology, and paediatric occupational therapy. I am particularly interested in:

EEG‑based biomarkers of adverse food reactions, with a focus on identifying brainwave signatures associated with neuroimmune responses.
Applied neuroscience in clinical practice, including the use of electrophysiological measures to inform therapeutic decision‑making.
Neurofeedback mechanisms and outcomes, especially in paediatric populations.
Early intervention and neurodevelopment, exploring how sensory, cognitive, and emotional systems interact and can be shaped through targeted therapeutic approaches.
Brain‑behaviour relationships, particularly how neural activity patterns relate to emotional regulation, behavioural flexibility, and functional performance in children.
