Caroline Morton

Biography

I qualified as a mental health nurse in 2010 having completed my undergraduate degree at Salford University. Since then I've worked in various specialties across different trusts, including older adults, substance misuse, forensic nursing and perinatal mental health, both as a staff nurse and deputy ward manager. My most recent clinical role was a community psychiatric nurse/care co-ordinator for a community mental health team.

Teaching

I am currently personal tutor to a mental health group on the C11 curriculum and an adult group on the C16 curriculum. I am part of the BLS team and the simulation team. I teach on the post qualifying mentorship programmes.

Research Interests

I am currently working on a number of projects around perinatal mental health with clinicians from practice. As well as involvement in a project investigating outcomes for older adults in relation to gardening.
