Biography
Dr Albert Aidoo-Anderson is a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) member and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)with PhD & MSc Degrees in Operations, Procurement, logistics & Supply Chain Management from the University of Salford and MSc Finance from Dundee University.
Albert’s teaching experience and research interest is in the wider area of Operations Management, covering Procurement, Supply Chains, Logistics and Project Management.
He has taught multiple modules at Salford Business School for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has supervised MSc and PhD dissertations. Albert also possesses extensive professional experience working across various industries such as Mining, Logistics, Banking, Finance, and NHS Health.
Albert led a team of academics from the University of Salford, in collaboration with academics from Manchester University, Manchester Metropolitan University, and Bolton University, to develop an Online Leadership Programme for small businesses in Greater Manchester called OPEN SME. This £1 million project was funded by the Greater Manchester Combined Authority and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The project continues to be a success and an immense help to businesses in Greater Manchester, especially Post Covid-19 Pandemic.

Forecasting- Quantitative/Qualitative Methods of Demand Forecasting for SMEs, Industry 5.0, Industry 4.0 in Supply Chain, Designing Smart Logistics in SMEs,
Areas of Supervision
Albert’s research falls within Operations Management and Supply Chains. It focuses largely on Demand Forecasting, industry 5.0 & 4.0 in the following sectors:
• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Mining
• Health Care
• Oil & Gas
• Micro Small & Medium Enterprises
I teach both Undergraduate & Postgraduate Programmes at the University of Salford Business School. Modules I teach include:
