The GAP-26 Graduate Internships Programme is now open for applications. We will only accept applications from University of Salford graduates.

We’ve extended the application deadline for GAP‑26 to 9 January 2026. We know this is a busy time of year, and we want to make sure graduates have the space they need to explore the programme and prepare a strong application. Applications
Applicants must be UK graduates who completed an undergraduate degree and was awarded between 1 November 2024 and 31 July 2025. Please see the further eligibility criteria.
We offer paid, 12 week internships within the University running from 2 March to 22 May 2026. The Programme will provide you with graduate-level experience that bridges the gap between university and your first professional role.

Eligibility criteria
Applicants must meet all thee conditions below:
- Graduate Status: UK graduate who completed an undergraduate degree and was awarded between 1 November 2024 and 31 July 2025
- Right to Work: Able to work without restriction in terms of visa or permit requirements
- Availability: Currently not employed or engaged in further study. Available to complete a full-time internship running from 2 March 2026 until 22 May 2026.
And meet at least two of the following criteria, as reported at registration:
- First in Family: Neither parent nor guardian has previously completed a university degree
- In Receipt of Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA): Received DSA during their studies.
- Low Socioeconomic Status (Low SEC): Based on parental occupation or household income
- Low Participation Neighbourhood (POLAR4 Quintile 1 or 2): Lives in an area with historically low higher education participation
