Careers and Employability
Our Offer to Apprentices
It doesn't matter what stage apprentices are at in their studies, what their goals are, what course they are studying or where they are thinking of taking their career – Careers and Enterprise can provide advice and support.
Apprentices are able to access all of our expert impartial and confidential employability advice on areas such as CV and application support, career planning, skills development and enterprise support. This can be used throughout your time with us at University of Salford and beyond, to help you further your career post apprenticeship.
Throughout their apprenticeship, apprentices will be developing a wide range of core skills and attributes that are essential for the workplace. Employability skills are the 'soft' skills employers want candidates to demonstrate to show that they can work well in the organisation. We can help apprentices develop their employability skills throughout their apprenticeship programme.
Throughout the academic year, our team deliver a range of live masterclasses and events that apprentices can take part in, for example, Getting Interview Ready, Writing a Winning CV and Business Basics.
If apprentices are finding it difficult to attend any of our masterclasses they may be interested in our online learning, these can be accessed 24/7 and include videos such as Making Graduate Applications and Business Planning.
If apprentices want to carry on with their studies after finishing their apprenticeship, please look to see what we have available to them.
If apprentices want to find out about the range of further Apprenticeships available, change their Apprenticeship or find out about studying another Apprenticeship after completing, they can access support and guidance on the links above.
