Ceremony information

Schedule

The evening will open with a drinks reception at 5:45pm. Seating for the three-course dinner will begin at 7pm, followed by the ceremony hosted by comedian and University of Salford alumna Luisa Omielan. There will be a bar available throughout the ceremony, which will end at 10:40pm. The bar and venue will close at 11:30pm. 

Dress code

The ceremony is a VIP formal evening reception. Dress to impress! Black tie is not required. 

Travel

Manchester Hall is centrally located on a main road, Bridge Street, between the River Irwell and Deansgate. Wherever possible, we would encourage guests to travel to the venue via public transport. The venue is a short walk from Salford Central or a 15-minute walk from Victoria Station. The closest Metro-link is Exchange Square.  

Parking

There are several car parks within walking distance of the venue. NCP Spinningfields and NCP New Bailey are the closest, with parking priced at £35 for 6 - 24 hours. Alternatively, NCP Stanley Street is a nine-minute walk away, with parking priced at £30 for 5 - 24 hours. All NCP car parks are secure and have over 600 spaces available. 

Accessibility

The venue can provide an accessibility ramp that will be placed at the entrance to the foyer to allow for an inclusive entry and exit. There is a lift on the ground floor that will take guests up to the fifth floor where the event is being held. Accessible toilets can be found on 1st and 2nd floor, these can also be accessed via lift. If you have any concerns/queries about the accessibility of the venue, please don’t hesitate to contact create@salford.ac.uk 

Evacuation Process

In the event of a fire or an emergency, guests can exit the building using the stairs located next to the bar or the back of house stairs next to the fifth-floor kitchen. The assembly point is the courtyard across the road, outside Crazy Pedro’s.
