Biography
Senior Lecturer in Mental Health with an Honorary Therapist position whilst undertaking Clinical Training as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. Shelly qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 1994 from The University of Birmingham then completed a Masters degree in Health Sciences in 1997 and Specialist Practitioner in Mental Health 1998. She has a sustained interest in working as an Academic with strong links to Clinical Practice completing a PhD focusing on the narratives of people who self-harm in 2009. Shelly is a PhD Supervisor, Examiner and Independent Chair. Shelly takes a Psychodynamic Psychotherapeutic approach and is interested in its application to Leadership, Teams and Organizations.
