Biography
Dr Saber Mahboubi is a lecturer in Electrical & Electronic engineering at the University of Salford. He holds a PhD degree (Marie Curie funded) in Robotics from the University of Salford. He was involved in several research and industrial projects funded by EU, EPSRC, and Innovate UK for the design of autonomous self-driving control systems, as well as innovate grasping technologies with applications in nuclear decommissioning and in-space non-cooperative manipulation. He is an experienced Robotics and Automation scientist with a demonstrated history of working in higher education and with more than eight years of industrial experience. He worked as a researcher at Max Plank institute in Germany and in the Research Center “E.Piaggio” School of Engineering University of Pisa, Italy. Skilled in Robust and nonlinear control systems, Industrial Automation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Autonomous Self-driving vehicles, CAD/CAM, multibody dynamic modelling and robotic manipulation.
