Programme Leader and Lecturer on the BA. Hons Costume Design course
Biography
I’m the programme leader and a full-time lecturer on the B.A Hons Costume Design course here at Salford, which I helped to establish and develop from its inception in 2018. I have worked in higher education for the past 12 years, I also work as a freelancer in costume/fashion design, pattern cutting, and in garment/costume construction. My background is predominantly fashion based which has developed into the field of costume design. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work on several costume collaboration both locally and internationally. Such as the Sun and Moon Theatre company in Shanghai China. I worked closely with the production manager to design, manage, and direct the construction of 26 high end theatrical costumes for the theatre’s production of Oscar Wilde’s biblical tale Salome.
