Lecturer
Biography
Karen has been a lecturer in the Directorate of Sport, Exercise & Physiotherapy since 2004 after 17 years practising as a Physiotherapist. Her interests are in the area of neurological rehabilitation, particularly of Stroke & Multiple Sclerosis.
Part of her role is supporting Undergraduate & Postgraduate students with additional needs.
Neurological Assessment & Management (NAM)-Module Leader.
- Upper limb rehabilitation in the use of technology (Functional Electrical Stimulation)
- Current involvement in a study (NEATLO30) exploring the usability/feasibility of an advanced FES tool on the upper limb post stroke
