Biography
I graduated in 1997 from the University of Salford with a BA (Hons) in Media and Performance and went on to Greenwich University, graduating in 1999 with a PGCE. I worked extensively in the FE Sector from 2000 – 2004, being the Head of Performing Arts at South Trafford College from 2002 – 2004. From 2004 onwards, I worked within the Museum sector, managing and delivering the Open Minds Drama and Arts project, based at the Manchester Museum. From 2004 I began working as an Associate Lecturer/Guest Director at the University of Salford, alongside working as an actor/director on many regional productions, which I continue to do. I achieved an MA in Scriptwriting for TV and Radio from the University of Salford in 2013. I currently work part time at the University and continue to deliver freelance workshops within the Museum Sector (The People’s History Museum/The Whitworth Art Gallery/The Manchester Museum) as a creative practitioner and work as a professional actor alongside this. Recent TV credits include Citizen Khan (BBC), Ackley Bridge (Channel 4) and Coronation Street (ITV).

My practice as research interests include: Arts and Health/Liminality and ritual within the performative arena/Acting for live and recorded media
