Lecturer in Structural Engineering

Biography

Jinyan is a lecturer in Structural Engineering in the School of Science, Engineering and Environment at the University of Salford where she has been a staff member since 2011. Prior to this Jinyan worked as Research Fellow from 2008 to 2011 at the University of the West of England, Bristol, and as Research Assistant/Fellow from 2005 to 2008 at the University of Salford. Jinyan completed her PhD in 2005 at the University of Salford.

Research Interests

  • Structural behaviours of masonry, particularly masonry arch bridges
  • Soil-Structure interaction
  • FE modelling of engineering structures
  • A broad interest in structural concrete
