BIOGRAPHY
After more than a decade in clinical radiography, Fred moved into education in 1996 at the University of Bangor. He was awarded his PhD in 2004 and shortly after he moved to New Zealand to become the Postgraduate Course Director. During this time, he developed and delivered the first image interpretation course in the country. He returned to Salford in 2008 to join the team in the Department of Radiography. He currently leads the BSc programme and teaches across both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He has supervised several doctoral research projects. In addition, he is the Vice Chair of Editorial Board for the Imaging and Therapy Journal and is a regular reviewer for Radiography.
