Biography
I have been in nurse education since November 1991 and have taught predominantly within the field of Children and Young People’s nursing. Prior to entering nurse education, I was a Ward Sister on a general Paediatric Unit.
I have taught on a range of diploma and undergraduate programmes but notably on pre registration programmes. My key academic interests lie in child and family policy and the sociology of health and illness. I have clinical links with a local PCT which supports my academic interests.
As the School Retention Officer, my research interests currently focus on the student experience and student engagement and support.
