Lecturer in Occupational Therapy
Biography
Deanne is a HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist, practicing since 2005. Deanne has worked in clinical practice across a variety of clinical settings during her career including acute, rehabilitation and community and has explored some MSc level study around her area of interest. She has clinical and managerial experience around setting up new clinical services and management of multidisciplinary teams.
Deanne’s post prior to academia was working within a large NHS organisations transformation team, programme managing large scale service re-design projects. Deanne has a specialist interest in Neurological Practice and spent a number of years as North West Regional Rep for the RCOT Neurological Practice. Deanne joined the University of Salford in February 2021 as a Teaching and Learning Intern on the Occupational Therapy programme. For the forthcoming academic year, she will be module leader on Into Employment, and Ready for Practice and teaching across the Occupational Therapy programme here at Salford.
