Lecturer in Music Enterprise & Engagement
Biography
I lecture in Music Enterprise and Engagement, drawing from my diverse experience working across a variety of musical arts projects, often combining music management with my specialism in video production.
Initially graduating from Salford with a post-graduate degree in Documentary Production, my role as Senior Producer at - the Guardian Media Group owned - Channel M Television saw me set-up and run the celebrated music programming department.
Since, I have worked on a variety of Manchester-centric musical arts projects including: artist management, record labels, television programmes and music promo videos.
Currently I run Low Four in collaboration with UoS Creative Music Technology Programme Leader, Brendan Williams. The project sees the reinstatement of the original Granada Television dubbing and recording suite as a centre for Manchester musical and audio excellence. As an innovative commercial/arts hybrid, in addition to recording albums for GoGo Penguin, Dutch Uncles and Francis Lung, Low Four is also an internet-provided music TV platform, venue and record label.
In addition to teaching across the University of Salford Music Directorate, I also teach film and video production on the Ba (hons) Media and Performance.
