Lecturer in Physiotherapy

Biography

Dale joined the University of Salford in 2015 after having a career in the Armed Forces. Dale lecturers in Physiotherapy, specialises in Exercise Prescription and is the module leader for “Principles of Exercise Therapy “on the undergraduate Physiotherapy course. Dale also runs the “Student-Led Physiotherapy Service” at the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance (MIHP). Dale is a public speaker and has presented nationally on the following topics: • Injury associated with CrossFit • Raise your movement standards • Functional Movement Screening • How to Bulletproof your Squat Dale is a champion for the Armed Forces and together with Dr Celia Hynes organised a Military Veterans Conference in 2016 that was opened by Gen Sir Nick Parker (former head of the British Army). Dale is member of the Military Education Committee and is still a serving Army Officer as a reservist at 207 Field Hospital in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Dale is a non-executive director of a charity “Positive Adventure” that helps Armed Forces Veterans deal with their transition to Civilian life/PTSD through outdoor adventure and team-work.
