Biography
Bethany joined Salford in 2024. Her research centres upon the emergency services and missing persons, in particular seeking to improve existing strategies. Her research interests include policing, military and multi-agency working. Her methodological leanings are qualitative. She is part of an Early Career Research Development funded project entitled ‘Recognising the Risks and Harms for Repeat Missing Children from Different Residential Environments through a Child and Practitioner Lens’ with researchers from Leeds Trinity University and Leeds Beckett University. Bethany has co-authored articles around policing/missing persons.
Areas of Research
Bethany’s main research interests centre upon the missing persons, emergency services, multi-agency working, specifically with a policing or military focus. Alongside, Bethany is involved in projects focused on gamification and simulation within work-based learning settings.
