BIOGRAPHY
I completed my BA and MA in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Warwick. In 2011 I completed a second MA in Archaeology and Heritage Management at the University of Exeter. I am currently researching a PhD in Digital Heritage at the University of Salford and I started my full-time post at Salford in September 2016.
Areas of research
Heritage, Digital, Phenomenology, Power, Co-production
I currently teach undergraduates on the Critical and Contextual Studies modules. I module lead Level 4 and Level 5 modules for Graphic Design, Design, 3D Interiors and Film & TV students.
My research interests are broadly based in heritage and culture and I take a multidisciplinary approach influenced by archaeological theory, phenomenology, sociology and simulation theory. I am particularly interested in the ways that heritage and culture are formed in everyday and subaltern contexts and how digital media may affect the perception or agency of dominant cultural discourses.
