Achmed Kevin Syahlintang
Biography
Achmed Kevin Syahlintang is a sport science professional specializing in biomechanics, physical demands, and physical assessment of athletes, with experience spanning applied coaching and research. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Salford, investigating the physical and biomechanical demands of sprinting in team-sport athletes, building on an MSc in Sport Biomechanics and a BSc in Physics from Loughborough University. His academic background is supported by strong skills in data modelling and analysis using MATLAB, Python, wearable technologies (IMUs), and a range of statistical software.
Professionally, Achmed serves as Head of Performance for the Indonesia National Flag Football Team and Head of Athlete and Coaches Development at the Indonesia Flag Football Association, where he is responsible for long-term player development programs, physical testing protocols, and coach education curricula. He also worked as a sports biomechanist with Speedworks Training, contributing to 2D motion analysis of sprinting and change of direction, force plate data collection, and the creation of normative data for different athlete populations. In addition, he is active as a sprint coach and strength and conditioning coach, leading speed–agility–quickness sessions and designing position-specific and periodized training programs.
