Offer Holder Day - Thank you for booking

Thank you for booking your place on an Offer Holder Day.

Around two weeks before your event, we will email you with a full schedule of the day. This will include what to expect during your subject session and how the day will work. We'll also provide information on how to find us and what to do when you arrive on campus.

We look forward to meeting you in person soon, but in the meantime we have provided some information about the university, planning your day and how to get in touch with us.

Where on Earth is Salford?

Planning your day

When you arrive on campus for your Offer Holder Day, you will be directed to a check-in location. To check-in, you need to provide your QR code (this will be sent to you via email several days before the event), where you will then be given a schedule for the day, as well as a copy of your course specific session. We will also provide some freebies and point you in the right direction.

It is important you make sure to check in when you arrive as you can then claim some money back towards the cost of your travel. The financial cost of travelling can add up quickly, so we'd like to offset some of the cost of travelling to your Offer Holder Day. If you live in Greater Manchester, we'll contribute £15 to the cost of your visit; for anyone coming from further afield, we'll contribute up to £120. Terms and conditions apply, you can find out more information about the Travel Bursary Scheme terms and conditions.

How to find us

The university car parks are likely to be very busy at the Offer Holder Days, so where possible we would encourage you to consider public transport options.

By car

On the day of the Offer Holder Day, there will be parking available in our Peel Park and Frederick Road campus car parks. We do not have university parking at our MediaCity campus but will provide coaches between MediaCity and Peel Park campus on the day.

Peel Park - use the Lowry and Delaney car parks (M5 4NJ), or Irwell Place car park (postcode M5 4WT).

Frederick Road - please use Frederick Road car park (postcode M6 6PU).

MediaCity - if you would still like to park at MediaCity, please use the Garage car park (M50 2HE).

By public transport

As part of our commitment to net zero carbon by 2038, we are prioritising more sustainable travel modes on our campus by improving public transport connections and enhancing pedestrian and cycling routes across the University. Where possible, we encourage you to consider public transport options when visiting us at your Offer Holder Day.

If your course is taught on Peel Park or Frederick Road campuses, we are easily accessible by train and bus, with Salford Crescent train station located directly on the campus.

If your subject is taught on MediaCity campus, we are easily accessible by tram and bus, with services direct to MediaCity and services that stop walking distance from MediaCity.

For full information on how to find us, explore our travel page.

Currently, there are several improvement works taking place across our campuses and around Salford which can cause disruptions from time to time, please check before you travel and feel free to contact us with any questions.

Access requirements

If you have made us aware of any access requirements when completing your booking, a member of the team will be in touch soon to find out more about how we can help you access and enjoy your Offer Holder Day.

In the meantime, we have put together a few helpful points so you can start planning your visit.

Access requirements
Campus accessibility

We would recommend downloading the the AccessAble Salford Uni app which includes detailed accessibility information about teaching spaces, quiet rooms, cafés and bars, toilets and student accommodation. There are also a number of car parking spaces for state-registered blue badge holders in every car park.

Neurodiversity

If you experience sensory issues, then please feel free to bring headphones or anything else that may help you feel comfortable at the event. Additionally, if you are worried about feeling overwhelmed on your visit to us, we can provide you with a named contact who will be able to answer any questions you have in a quieter environment.

BSL interpreters

If required, we can provide a BSL interpreter to accompany you throughout the day, as well as provide you with written versions of our presentations. Please let us know as soon as possible if you will require a BSL interpreter, and a member of the team will be in touch to confirm details with you. In order to arrange a BSL interpreter we will need to know your full schedule of the day.

Assistance dogs

Any assistance dogs (guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service or seizure alert dog) are welcome on campus.

Access to materials

If required, we can provide you with a large print version of any materials distributed throughout the day. We can also provide different coloured paper if this would be helpful. Please let us know about this as soon as possible so you can collect this when you arrive at check-in.

Management of medical needs

We have a number of quiet rooms across campus, which are private spaces that you can use for medical as well as personal reasons. There will be staff on hand throughout the day to guide and offer support.

Think you would benefit from letting us know about an access requirement? Just email our Enquiries team with any extra support you may need, and a member of the team will be in touch.

Don’t forget, our Disability Inclusion Service will be available to speak to throughout the event so you can start putting plans in place before joining us as a student.

If you have booked on to a disability appointment, the team will provide you with an overview of the support and next steps towards registering with the Disability Inclusion Service at Salford. The appointment won't result in a full Reasonable Adjustment Plan, however it will guide you on the necessary next steps and advice.
