Offer holder hub
Congratulations on your offer to study at the University of Salford!
Use this page as your hub of information ahead of joining us in September.
Not had chance to visit the campus?
We are offering combined campus and accommodation tours across all three of our sites: Peel Park, Frederick Road and MediaCity. You'll be joined on the tour by one of our friendly student ambassadors who will be able to give you their unique insight into life as a Salford student.
Life at salford
Life on campus
On campus, there's lots to get involved in: from joining a society, to exploring our sports centre and fitness classes, to winding down after a day of lectures in our Students' Union bar and cafe. We also have beautiful green spaces for you to relax, with Peel Park situated right next to our main campus.
In the city
When you're not in lectures or spending time with friends on campus, heading into Manchester city centre is a great option. We're just a 20 minute walk from Spinningfields, but with our on-campus train station (Salford Crescent), you can be at the heart of the city within minutes. The 50 bus is also free to students, meaning you can take advantage of our campus at MediaCity and discover the breathtaking views of the Quays.
Salford Students' Union
Our Students' Union based in University House is the place to go for all your student queries once you're on campus. Home to askUA, in here you'll also find our student radio station Shock Radio, Atmosphere bar and cafe and our common room.
Our sports centre comes complete with a swimming pool, sauna and spa, a gym, a six-court sports hall, fitness suites, fitness classes, external pitches and changing facilities. Perfect for working out in the morning, lunch time, evening - whatever time of day suits you.
Did you know, our Peel Park Quarter student accommodation was recently voted the second-best halls of residence in the UK by the Student Hut? So if you're looking for some great accommodation options, look no further.
Living in halls is a great way to meet new people and make friends, and immerse yourself into student life.

Finance and money matters
Deciding to come to university can be a large financial commitment and the different types of loans or scholarships available and how they work can be confusing. Therefore, it's really important to understand the fees you're required to pay and to learn how to manage your money once you arrive.
