We understand that postgraduate study needs to fit around your life. That’s why our programmes offer flexible learning options. From our full-time options, allowing you to complete your degree within a year, to our part-time option, spreading your studies over three years. Our MSc in Psychology of Coercive Control is also delivered entirely online, allowing you to study from anywhere in the world.

MSc Applied Psychology (Addictions)

This course will equip you with valuable insights into topics including the psycho-pharmacology of addiction, the recent interest in addictive behaviours and the wide-ranging implications of addiction for society.

You'll find the course particularly relevant if you are working in the NHS or healthcare independent sector, including addiction clinics, and want to develop your knowledge and understanding of substance misuse and dependence, and other addictive behaviours. Find out more on the course page.

MSc Applied Psychology (Therapies)

This course will equip you with valuable professional insight into topics including approaches to identifying common mental health disorders, causes of addiction, and how cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based psychotherapies can be used to help address stress, anxiety, depression, chronic health conditions, and other related disorders. You will gain a greater appreciation for the application of psychology and how to gather and evaluate evidence and conduct research, which are valuable skills for senior professional roles or those intending to progress to further postgraduate doctoral study, including clinical psychology doctorate training and PhD.

MSc Forensic Psychology

Get ready for a career in forensic psychology with this British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited course. This course will equip you with valuable professional insight and the skills necessary to progress into a career in forensic psychology. You will develop an awareness of the factors that can lead to criminal behaviour and the ways in which individuals can be supported to change. The course will also cover societal factors and disadvantages that contribute to antisocial behaviour, with a focus on victims, trauma, and mental health.

MSc Psychology of Coercive Control

This course provides advanced insights and knowledge of cutting-edge practice and research about coercive control and behaviour, and its development and effects on individuals, families, and organisations. You will develop a deep understanding of the psychological processes involved in coercive and controlling behaviour across a variety of settings, including domestic relationships, human trafficking, gangs, extremist groups/cults, and organisations more widely.

On this course, you will receive tailored support from a highly experienced and qualified team of psychology and professional staff who are involved in advancing practice and research regarding the prevention, effects, and recovery from coercive and controlling behaviour.
