Contribute to a sustainability skills survey

We want to hear from you!

All students at the University of Salford can be in with a chance of winning £500 by completing an online confidential survey about your time at university and the skills you develop for getting a job.

This is an annual survey in conjunction with SOS UK who are keen to gather information about student attitudes towards employability skills for sustainable development.

The short survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. The closing date is 15 November 2026. Students will be entered into a draw to win £500 or one of 10 £50 runner-up prizes.

Green Careers Mission

This year the University of Salford is hosting the Green Careers Mission, an event open to all students from all Greater Manchester universities.

It’s an opportunity to work with others to tackle real-world environmental challenges set by local employers. Pitch practical ideas that could help make Greater Manchester fairer, greener and more sustainable.

From reducing carbon emissions to improving air quality, protecting biodiversity and much more, the challenges set by employers are real problems they're working to address. Your input is invaluable.

It’s a good opportunity to build green skills and experience which look great on your CV, as well as network with other students and local employers.

The Green Careers Mission will be taking place on Wednesday 11 November 09:00 – 17:00. The deadline to express your interest in taking part is Thursday 29 October at 17:00.
