Planning your Open Day - 7 November 2026

A member of staff flicking through the Open Day guide at the Open Day check-in desk

Saturday 7 November,

09:30-16:00

Welcome to the University of Salford! We're so excited you'll be joining us on campus for our Undergraduate Open Day. This is your chance to explore our campus, chat to staff and current students and discover what life at Salford is really like. We've lots on offer throughout the day so we recommend using the information on this page to make the most of your visit.

Check-in is open from 09:30 and to make the most of the day, we recommend you come for the full day to experience everything our Open Day has to offer.

Where to check in

Attend a course session

We understand that the most important part of any Open Day is finding out more about your course of interest. Our course sessions are repeated at least twice, once at 10:45-11:45 and then again at 13:30-14:30, so you can explore more than one course if you're still a little unsure. Some of these times may vary if your course session includes a facilities tour or additional presentations - check out the Open Day guide for full details.

All of our tutors will also be available for a drop-in chat outside of the course session time so if you're still undecided, or think of any further questions, they're available all day!

Select the course you're interested in from the drop-down list below to find out the campus you’ll be based on and where to check-in. We have three campus sites: Peel Park, Frederick Road and MediaCity.

If you are attending for more than one course, you will only need to check in once when you first arrive.

Peel Park Campus

Check-in location: Check-in A, outside of the Maxwell Building

Your Open Day guide will tell you exactly where your session is taking place. You will receive a copy of this at the event or you can view the guide on this page a couple of weeks prior to the event.

If you are able to join us by public transport, we are easily accessible by train and bus, with Salford Crescent train station located directly on our campus. Alternative study options

Many of our courses offer alternative academic pathways, such as a degree apprenticeship, foundation year or placement year.

If you're interested in a foundation year or placement year, please chat to the course tutors as part of the course presentation or drop-in.

If you're interested in a degree apprenticeship, we recommend attending the presentation for your course of interest, and then head to the separate Alternative Options: Apprenticeships and more talk later in the day. These talks take place at the following times:

  • Peel Park campus: 12pm - 12:45pm
  • Frederick Road campus: 2:30pm - 3:15pm

Check out our full list of degree apprenticeships before you arrive!

The Apprenticeships team are available throughout the event on our Peel Park and Frederick Road campuses for any queries.

We also offer courses affiliated with the Greater Manchester Institute of Technology and offer shorter, more industry aligned, courses such as Certificates in Higher Education (CertHEs) and Diplomas in Higher Education (DipHEs), as well as Top Up options for those returning to study. Please chat to our course tutors and attend our drop in on the day to find out more.
