Biography

Mark is a senior lecturer in counselling and psychotherapy. He has been a practicing therapist since 1994 and has been teaching psychotherapy since 2003. He is a UKCP registered psychotherapist, a Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner. He is also a holder of the European Certificate of Psychotherapy.

Mark has a strong international reputation as a psychotherapy trainer and regularly delivers keynote speeches and workshops at international conferences.

Mark's doctoral research established the effectiveness of transactional analysis (TA) psychotherapy for the treatment of depression and he was awarded the EATA silver medal in 2014 and the ITAA research award in 2017 for his research on the effectiveness of TA for depression.

He is the author of Transactional Analysis: 100 Key Points and Techniques and Transactional Analysis for Depression: A Step-by-Step Treatment Manual, both published by Routledge.

He is also a TEDx speaker, and delivered his talk 'Mind the Gap' at TEDx Larissa in September 2021
