Biography
Established Thermal Lab as the first UKAS accredited laboratory for the measurement of thermal conductivity / resistance in the UK in 1981 (provides credibility for research data. Quality Manager and Deputy Technical Manager of UKAS thermal Measurement Lab.
Established large scale wall and roof test facilities, and guarded hot box in Brindley / Meadow Road complex for the measurement of heat and moisture transfer in building elements
From 1987 Technical Manager, Head and Deputy Quality Manager of UKAS Thermal Lab. UKAS Auditor of Acoustics Labs.
Since 1997 have concentrated on running the Thermal Lab as a commercial research facility. In 2000 The Thermal Lab was recognized as a European Notified Laboratory for ITT. Relocated to Newton in 2005 - 6, and forms part of the activities of the Energy House Team.
In 2019 Research Fellow in Energy House team.
Have issued some 2,000 commercial reports to business and industry, in addition to over 33 papers and conferences listed below.
