To celebrate our creative work in China, our School of Arts and Media offers a scholarship at PhD level. The PhD Arts and Media China scholarship aims to support academic and creative opportunities between the University of Salford and China. The purpose of this scholarship is to support applicants in their research and the growth of sustainable academic partnerships and networks.

We are are an owner-member of the Northern Consortium of UK universities (NCUK). NCUK delivers pathway programmes that lead to degrees at member universities. China Advanced scholarships
We welcome high achieving students from China who are progressing from an SQA diploma. Scholarships are available for applicants from CSCSE who have studied the SQA HND and have achieved AB/AAB plus IELTS 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in all bands).

Commonwealth scholarships
Commonwealth Scholarships enable talented and motivated students to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development.
These scholarships are funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and offered through the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC).

Our Global Gold Excellence Scholarship offers an automatic discount on tuition fees to all eligible applicants.

Other discounts
Loyalty discount
If you have completed an eligible programme of study here, you may be entitled to a discount of 20% off your fees if you take another programme with us. For more details please see the information on our loyalty discount.
Please note, you may apply for the loyalty discount if you have already been awarded a scholarship, however, in line with our terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship or discount (the one with the highest value).
Prompt payment discount
If you pay your fees in full, either on before or at enrolment, you can receive a prompt payment discount of 3%. This is applied to the net fee remaining after any scholarship has been applied.

Before applying for an international scholarship, please read our terms and conditions. Unless specified, our international scholarships are available to full-time, on-campus, self-funded students who have been assessed as international students for fee purposes and are applying to the first year of study for an undergraduate bachelor’s or postgraduate taught master’s programme.
