IFY Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship supports high-achieving international students studying on the International Foundation Year programme.
Scholarship details
For qualifying applicants, the IFY Excellence Scholarship is worth £2,500 for one year of study on the IFY programme starting from September 2026. Self-funded IFY students who achieve good grades may have access to further scholarships - including the Global Gold Excellence Scholarship and Global Silver Excellence Scholarship when they progress to their undergraduate programmes.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be self-funding and applying for the International Foundation Year. You must have achieved (as a minimum) the following grades, depending on your qualification:

| Bangladesh | Higher Secondary School | GPA of 4.5 |
| Bangladesh | General Basic Education | Average of 75% |
| Kuwait | Secondary School | Average of 80% |
| Nigeria | NECO | B or above in at least 3 subjects |
| West Africa | WAEC | B or above in at least 3 subjects |
| West Africa | WASSCE | B or above in at least 3 subjects |
| Pakistan | Intermediate | 54% |
| Pakistan | Higher Secondary School | 54% |
For all other qualifications, eligibility is assessed by the Admissions team on a case-by-case basis according to academic merit. The Admissions team will assess your eligibility upon receipt of your application.

How to apply
There is no separate application process for this scholarship. You will be assessed when you apply for your chosen programme of study. If you are successfully offered this scholarship, you must accept your offer of admission and pay your tuition fee deposit by the deadline specified to receive the funding.
Terms and conditions
You may be interested in this scholarship if you have already been awarded a different scholarship. However, in line with our terms and conditions, you can only receive one scholarship - the one with the highest value.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be self-funded and applying for the International Foundation Year programme.
Current students who started their course before September 2026 are not eligible for the IFY Excellence Scholarship.
