We're looking forward to meeting you at your upcoming campus tour! This page will provide you all the information you should need for your visit, including how to find us and what to expect on the day.
What to expect

Your campus tour will take place on the campus where your course is taught (check your booking confirmation email if you're not sure). We'll take you around some of the common learning areas and general teaching spaces. You will also be able to look around our accommodation sites. Please note in most cases we will not be able to offers tours of course facilities or the chance to speak with a course tutor. Campus tours are expected to last around 45 minutes. If you would like to view our accommodation sites after this, please allow for extra time.
Please ensure you arrive prior to your dedicated time slot as tours will be setting off at the posted times.

Plan your Journey
We would always encourage you to make use of public transport wherever possible. The University is just 2km from Manchester city centre on the A6, is well-served by Salford Crescent train station and has regular bus services both into and out of Manchester.
Train
Salford Crescent train station is located in the middle of our campus, between our Peel Park and Frederick Road sites, making us very easy to get to by rail. Trains from both Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria run through the station regularly, as well as from Manchester Airport, Blackpool, Southport, Wigan, Blackburn, Preston and Huddersfield. The station is fully accessible for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles.
Bus
The Crescent/A6 runs alongside our campus and is a major bus route into and out of Manchester city centre. There are several stops for our campus, so see Transport for Greater Manchester’s Route Explorer to find the best journey for you.
Car
If you are travelling by car, we have a number of car parks across campus, see the campus map for information. Select your campus above to see your recommended car park. Car parking charges are in operation. Payments can be made via the paybyphone app. Further information is available about car parking.
Walking
If you feel like stretching your legs and want to get a feel for the area, we’re a 25 minute walk from Manchester city centre. From the Arndale Centre, head across the River Irwell to Chapel Street and take a left…that will bring you past Salford Central train station (on your left), Salford Cathedral (a bit further up on your right) and, about half a mile later, right to our doorstep.
By air
Manchester International Airport is 10 miles from the University. There are regular, direct train services to and from Salford Crescent station and Manchester Piccadilly. Buses also link the airport and Manchester city centre. To find the best journey for you, see Transport for Greater Manchester’s Route Explorer.
MediaCity
If you’re joining us at our MediaCity campus and are travelling by car, there are several pay-to-park options available there. The nearest is The Garage, but there are also several surface-level car parks nearby. For sat nav directions please use M50 2HE as the postcode.
There is also a tram stop just outside our building and several bus stops nearby. For more info on how to find us at MediaCity, have a look at our MediaCity travel page.
Once you’ve arrived at MediaCity, we’re located in Orange Tower, the same building as ITV and opposite The Dockyard.
