We're looking forward to meeting you at your upcoming campus tour! This page will provide you all the information you should need for your visit; from how to find us and what to expect to the health and safety precautions in place.
What to expect
The tours will start on the campus where you will be studying (check your booking confirmation email if you're not sure) and will be a walking introduction to your campus. We'll take you around some of the common learning areas and general teaching spaces, and will do our best to point out where your course facilities can be found, but please note that these tours won't include access to course facilities or opportunities to speak to the tutors. Tours are expected to last around 45 minutes.
Please ensure you arrive prior to your dedicated time slot as tours will be setting off at the posted times.

Car parking charges are in operation. Payments can be made via the paybyphone app. Further information is available about car parking.

From the Arndale Centre, head across the River Irwell to Chapel Street and take a left…that will bring you past Salford Central train station (on your left), Salford Cathedral (a bit further up on your right) and, about half a mile later, right to our doorstep.
Manchester International Airport is 10 miles from the University. There are regular, direct train services to and from Salford Crescent station and Manchester Piccadilly. Buses also link the airport and Manchester city centre. To find the best journey for you, see Transport for Greater Manchester’s Route Explorer.

Will I be able to speak to a tutor on the day?
The tours are conducted by student ambassadors and members of the student recruitment team. There won't be any course content on our campus tours, as the tutors will not be available on the days. However our team will be able to answer any general questions you have about studying at Salford.
What time does my tour start?
Tours are staggered throughout the afternoon and will run every 60 minutes. Your allocated time will be on your booking confirmation email.
Can I bring family and friends?
Of course! We recognise that choosing a university is a big decision, so we'd encourage you to bring a guest. However, due to the popularity of the tours we would ask that you limit this to just one person on this occasion.
Do you have support for students with a disability?
Yes. If you have a disability, please tell us your access requirements when you book. We’ll then work with you to do everything we can to support you on the day.
You can check our campus for its accessibility using AccessAble's assessment of our campus and facilities.
Please contact disability and learner support for study related support.
