Senior Lecturer/ Director of Postgraduate Research Studies
I am a Senior Lecturer and the Director of Postgraduate Research Studies at the School of the Built Environment. I was the Programme Director for the MSc Project Management in Construction degree programme for 7 years since 2009. Currently, I’m the University of Salford’s Principal Investigator for a Major EU Horizon 2020 funded project titled ‘A panEuropean framework for strengthening Critical Infrastructure resilience to climate change- EU-CIRCLE’. I have worked in several RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) funded research projects on good practices in disaster context; I have developed my specific research interest on exploring the role of knowledge management in the disaster management cycle. I lead the research theme ‘Knowledge Management for Disaster Resilience’ in the Centre for Disaster Resilience, at the University of Salford. I am also an Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Knowledge Based Organizations and International Journal of Knowledge and Performance Management. With over 15 years of research and teaching experience, I have published several book chapters, research reports, refereed journal papers and international conference papers and have facilitated a number of research workshops in International conferences. I have also co-chaired and organised a number of International Conferences. I’m also part of a number university level teaching and learning committees.
