Occupational Therapy (Pre-Registration) (MSc)

This session will introduce you to Occupational Therapy in the University of Salford. For this session, you will be in your MSc class group and meet with the Programme Leader, Year Manager and other key staff.

There are four sessions that you will rotate between. These sessions will help you to get to know a few people on the different Occupational Therapy programmes and learn some key information about Occupational Therapy. It is a chance for you to think about your strengths and what you will bring to the programmes to help you succeed. The sessions are 'Shark Tank', Meet current students, My journey using Kawa and IT essentials.

This is an optional session. Please join some of the lecturers if you have any questions.

This session provides you with information about the MSc Occupational Therapy programme. You will be guided through the different modules and ways of working during the programme. You will also have an opportunity to meet the Programme Leader, Year Manager and other key team members. 

This session includes essential information to prepare you for study. We will explain the essential tasks you need to do to prepare for placement and for University-based study.

This session will provide an overview of expectations of studying for an MSc. It will cover areas such as study skills and an introduction to critical writing. There will be an opportunity to meet the MSc SPA. 

This session will welcome and help orientate international students to the University and the course. 

In this online session, we will discuss expectations that you can have for us, expectations that we have for you and the expectations set out by our regulator, the Health and Care Professions Council and our Professional Body, the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. This session is online, so you need to have completed registration and be able to log into the Teams meeting using your University account. Please also be prepared to be interactive - a second device (like your phone) may be helpful. 

This session will help you prepare for your first week of study and will be an opportunity for you to meet your academic tutor. At the end of the session you are invited to bring your lunch for a shared lunch.
