Lab coat collection and health and safety induction with Dr Lucy Smyth
Collect your lab coat, get to know the laboratory spaces, and take part in fun activities to introduce fundamental laboratory equipment and key health and safety concepts.

Meet your personal tutors and tutor group challenge launch
Every student has a personal tutor to support them during their studies.
At this induction session, you will meet personal tutors on your course.
You will also meet peers in your learning group and undertake a fun interactive challenge with them to earn prizes.

Biomedicine student social
Those on Biomedical Science and Human Biology and Infectious Diseases foundation year are invited to join level 4 students to visit stalls for key biomedicine aligned societies and career development groups to learn more and win prizes in the Salford biomedicine quiz (optional).

Day trip to the World Museum, Liverpool
Join your tutors and peers on a day trip to the World Museum, Liverpool. The trip allows you to explore somewhere new, while meeting and forming friendships with your fellow classmates. It’s a great activity to do to help you settle in and feel part of the university community. Don’t worry, we’ve ensured the event does not clash with any of your other timetabled events!
We are sharing this event with first year Biomedical Science and Human Biology and Infectious Diseases students and places on the coach/s are limited. To join us, you must complete the below form to secure your spot.
