Thinking sociologically and criminologically
This session will provide an introduction seminar to preparing you for thinking 'criminologically' and 'sociologically'. We will cover hot contemporary topics in society such as knife crime, prisons and punishment, AI and crimes of the future. In groups, you will discuss, debate, and critique key arguments relating to those pressing issues.
Meet Your Personal Tutor followed by meet and greet social
This is a chance to meet your academic progress tutors (APTs). APTs will act as a key point of reference for you throughout your three years of study. Your APT will discuss their role with you in a fun and engaging session. This will be followed by an informal 'meet and greet' social event with staff and students.
