Travelling to the University of Salford
If your interview is taking place on campus, please check our Travel page for guidance on locating our three campuses – you can find your interview location on your interview invitation email.
Our travel updates page is kept up-to-date with disruptions and we would recommend checking this page before you travel.
Once you arrive on campus and find the building your interview will be taking place in, make your way to the main reception located in the building and they will advise you where you to go.
Parking on campus
Our campus is well serviced by local train and bus routes so we recommend travelling to your interview by public transport. If you opt to drive to campus we have several car parking options available for our Peel Park and Frederick Road campuses. We do not have a car park at Media City, though other car parks are available.
You can find more information on our Car Parking page, including our available car parks and how to pay for parking via ParkUS. You can use code ‘USINTERV’ for discounted parking on the day of your interview.
Interviews taking place on Microsoft Teams
1. Your interview confirmation email will contain a link to join on your computer or mobile app. It’s important that the devices you use have a built-in camera, microphone and secured internet connection.
2. Please DO NOT log in the Microsoft account you already have as you will be required to join as a guest.
3. On the day of your session simply click the link to join. Don’t worry if you’re early, you will be placed into a ‘lobby’ and admitted when the session starts. Please ensure your Microsoft Teams matches the same full name you use in your application, and you have your photographic ID ready.
4. We will need to be able to see and hear you, so please make sure your microphone, speakers and camera are all turned on. It is a good idea to test these before your session.
If you’ve never had an online interview before, don’t worry — we’ve put together a short video with helpful tips on how to prepare.
