As we celebrate International Nurses Day, we want to take this opportunity to thank our nurses at the University of Salford. We are proud of the work that our nurses do every day and we thank them for their bravery, kindness and compassion throughout the pandemic.

What it means to be a student nurse at Salford

We asked our students to tell us what nursing at Salford means to them. See what they had to say below.

“What a privilege it is to be Deputy Director in Nursing and Midwifery in
the School of Health and Society. I am so proud to be part of a
passionate, innovative and inspiring team of academics who work
tirelessly to improve the student experience. It has also been a humbling
experience watching our Nursing and Midwifery students rise to the
challenges presented to them over the last 12 months. Nursing and
Midwifery students and staff both nationally and internationally deserve
to be recognised and their endeavours celebrated in this international
year of the Nurse and Midwife.”
