“I am very delighted to be one of the three finalists for this award. It’s an honour to be recognised for all my efforts to complete three years of bachelor, and now masters, at the University of Salford. This is the sign that I am in the right path. Throughout this journey I’ve encountered a lot of difficulties and struggles, including going through domestic violence, single parenting and being homeless. It was a very challenging period of my life but, despite all the suffering, the University gave me the supported needed, which helped me to achieve this and a lot more things personally. I cannot express how grateful I am for this experience.”
