Richard Jones

Richard Jones, Director of Media, Film, Journalism, Politics, and History, is a member of the University judging panel for the annual Create Student Awards.

Richard leads a Directorate which includes the subject areas of Broadcast Media, Film, Journalism and the combined Politics and Contemporary History. He is the author of Reporting The Courts, published by Routledge in 2024. His second book, Sports Journalism in the UK, will be released later this year. Before becoming an academic, Richard was a journalist for Sky News, the BBC and others.
