“Being nominated for the Environmental Champion Award means a lot to me; it feels like a moment of validation for a journey that has been personal and, at times, challenging. What started as a university project with the simple goal of creating a sustainable fashion brand quickly became something much bigger. As I continued my studies during my Masters degree, I discovered more about the true impact of the fashion industry. The environmental damage, the hidden processes, and the harmful effects, not just on the planet, but on us as consumers. It changed my outlook on my brand's goal. This nomination represents more than just recognition; it reassures me that the message I’ve been trying to share is being heard.

My brand is about more than just clothing; it’s about education, awareness, and challenging the idea that fashion has to come at such a high cost to our world and our health. To be acknowledged for this work is incredibly meaningful, especially knowing how much effort it has taken to build alongside working full-time to self-fund my brand. It reminds me that my voice matters, and that even small steps towards educating others can create real impact. I feel honoured to be recognised among so many people doing important work in this space. More than anything, this nomination motivates me to keep going, to continue raising awareness, pushing for change, and proving that fashion can be both responsible and truly beautiful.”
