“To be nominated for this award is a tremendous honour. Thank you to my wonderful supervisor, Professor Caroline Magennis, for this nomination and the continued support that enables my research to exist. 

My work focuses on contemporary autistic fiction authors, utilising literary analysis to study the culture of a diverse range of autistic people beyond deficit and pathology. As an autistic woman, I have faced barriers to participation in education settings. Yet, in Salford, I am embraced, valued and encouraged. This nomination is the cherry on top of an incredibly supportive experience, and I am eternally grateful.”
