Joining us at Salford Business School as a postgraduate student opens up a world of opportunity. As part of your postgraduate course, you have access to a wide range of academic support to help you succeed throughout your academic journey with us. Salford Business School provides this support through a variety of means:

  • Supporting Student Success module
  • 1-to-1 Academic Support
  • Drop-in sessions and workshops

These support methods will help you transition into your postgraduate course and succeed.

The University of Salford provides wider support; in particular, the Clifford Whitworth Library offers a wide range of learning support and askUS provides advice for everything outside of your studies.

In addition, the Business School runs a Postgraduate Mentoring Scheme to support students transitioning to postgraduate life. The scheme connects new master's students with existing master's students for advice and guidance on a range of issues.

This module is a core part of your programme and you will study this module when you first join us at Salford Business School. The Supporting Student Success module supports you as you begin your studies by helping you get used to systems and expectations as a postgraduate student – both for international students and UK students.

The module supports you with:

  • Adjusting to academic life
  • Understanding assessments and feedback
  • Different learning approaches for success

"I’m Elakkiya Govindasamy studying MSc Managing Innovation and Information Technology. As an international student everything was new to me and difficult to understand. I say it from the bottom of my heart that Sami helped me a lot to get to know the way of learning and prepared everybody in Supporting Student Success module to cope with new atmosphere of learning."
