Biography

Abdul Mohammed holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Research in Sustainability within the field of Civil Engineering. His academic and professional interests lie in the development and evaluation of sustainable construction materials, advancing environmentally responsible engineering practices, and contributing to global efforts aimed at reducing carbon emissions.

His current research focuses on conducting a comprehensive life cycle assessment (LCA) of recycled plastic block production in Ghana. This work examines the carbon emissions associated with each stage of the production process, with the aim of providing data‑driven insights that support sustainable material innovation and circular-economy solutions within the construction sector.

Abdul is committed to becoming an expert in life cycle assessment and carbon reporting for construction materials. He seeks to apply his growing expertise to improve industry decision‑making, support sustainable infrastructure development, and contribute to the broader transition toward low‑carbon and resilient built environments

Areas of Research

My research interests focus on sustainable construction materials and low‑carbon engineering solutions within the built environment. I am particularly interested in the development and evaluation of alternative materials that contribute to reducing carbon emissions and supporting global sustainability goals.

My long‑term research goal is to contribute to the development of low‑carbon, net-zero infrastructure materials and support the transition toward environmentally responsible civil engineering systems.
