We can lend you equipment to help with your studies. You'll need to bring your physical student ID card to the Enquiry Desk.

What can you loan?
All equipment can be loaned from the Clifford Whitworth Enquiry Desk.

Portable charging packs
Portable power packs are available if you need to charge your devices while studying in the library. Each pack can charge up to two laptops for around 8 hours.
- Loan period: 24 hours
- Ports available: USB and USB-C
- Charging wires available: USB-C to USB-C cables
- Collection point: Library Enquiry Desk
How to request a power pack
Click the link below to request a charging pack. You will be added to a queue. Please note that during busy times the wait can be up to 24 hours.
When a pack is ready, you will receive an email to your University of Salford email address.
Bring your student ID to the Enquiry Desk to collect your power pack. You must collect it within the dates given in the email.
Study packs trial
Made for focus, calm and creative breaks!
We're currently trialling study packs to help with concentration and relaxation. Packs are available for our library users to loan from the Enquiry Desk at Clifford Whitworth Library. Just bring your student ID card!
Each pack contains:
- ear defenders
- an assortment of fidget toys
- textured plushies
- mindful colouring postcards
- colouring pens.
Please note: Study packs must stay in the Library.
Your responsibility
You're responsible for the items while you borrow them. Don't leave them unattended or give them to anyone else.
If the item is lost, stolen, or damaged, you'll have to pay a fee. You could be stopped from attending your graduation ceremony If you have an unpaid balance on your library account.
