Salford student named 'Health and Public Service Apprentice of the Year'
The South Yorkshire Apprenticeship Awards recently returned for their eighth year, honouring the region’s standout apprentices, training providers and employers who are shaping the workforce of tomorrow.
The ceremony saw University of Salford student Stacey Mullee named Health and Public Service Apprentice of the Year. The category was the largest one at the awards, and celebrates outstanding apprentices in the health and public service sector.
Judges described Stacey as ‘proactive, dedicated and resilient’ with ‘strong skills, adaptability, and a deep understanding of healthcare and a service level view.’
Stacey, who is currently studying a Public Health Practitioner degree apprenticeship at the University and is employed by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, said: “It was a fantastic occasion, and to come away with an award feels like a big win not just for me but for Public Health and prevention! My employer has now told me that they are going to put me forward for the national award!”
Congratulations to Stacey!
