Our flagship BSc Sports Rehabilitation course will equip you with the skills and confidence to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate injuries, allowing you to build a dream career in the sports industry, helping rehabilitate amateur athletes or high-performing competitors.

You will study minutes from Manchester city centre, home to world-renowned elite sports teams, including Manchester United and Manchester City Football Clubs, along with the world governing body for sports rehabilitators, BASRaT.

Throughout the course, you will develop your skills through practical experience and placements. Our placement opportunities currently exceed our large cohort of students so you will be spoilt for choice when choosing your placements. See examples of placements you could do in the image below:

School of Health and Society

Our School of Health and Society is a forward-thinking, dynamic school with expert teaching staff, strong industry links and excellent facilities to equip students with the knowledge and experiences to advance their careers.

During your course, you will gain practical experience under the direct supervision of qualified staff at our in-house Sports Injury Clinic. The clinic is open to staff, students and the general public and offers a full range of rehabilitation services including injury assessment and rehabilitation, exercise and sports-specific courses, postural assessment and injury prevention.

You will also have access to our world-class Human Performance Laboratory which contains almost every type of physiological and biomechanical testing equipment used in the sector, including a 30-metre sprint track with in-built force platforms, motion cameras, blood and gas analysis equipment and speed guns. The University is also home to three full gait labs.
