Support Sessions

Students socialising in Maxwell restaurant.

We know that in the current situation, you can’t visit us on campus as you may have planned, or listen to a talk at your school or college. It is very important to us that you still have access to all the key information to make an informed decision, so here, you can access a range of presentations and online Q&A sessions to help introduce you to some of the key topics around going to university.

Alongside the events and presentations listed on this page you can also chat directly to our current students if you want to find out what it’s really like studying at the University of Salford.

If you work in a school or college and would like us to present the content live with a follow up Q&A session, please do get in touch on workwithus@salford.ac.uk.

Live Presentations

We really miss visiting schools and colleges across the country, so we’re holding weekly 5pm support sessions for any students wanting to find out more about the options open to them.

Perhaps you're in your first year of college and already thinking what you might do next, or you might be in your final year and have only recently started considering university as an option. As well as member of the Recruitment Team, we’ll have Student Ambassadors online to talk about their own experiences and they’ll be happy to answer any questions you might have?

Parents and supporters are more than welcome to join the sessions if they’d like to find out more about your journey to higher education too – be it this year, next or a way off in the future yet.

There’s no need to book, just CLICK HERE at 5pm on the date of your chosen session – the topics are listed below and vary by date, they are repeated every couple of weeks.

*Please note that although the hyperlinks are live, there won’t be any visible content until 4:45pm on the session dates.  We do have pre-recorded sessions for you to watch in the meantime.
